Do I need to proofread everything?

It’s a fast-paced world! 24 hours is suddenly becoming insufficient for our daily activities. The amazing part is when the WiFi slows down for two seconds or the webpage takes forever to load. The feeling of unease is so unbearable. One day, I remember when our home WiFi went off for 8 longgg hours. It was as if the world had come to an end; everyone was frustrated with what was going on. Yea, it was pretty bad!

In this post, I’ll be discussing the importance of proofreading our writing, whether it’s for school, work or just posting on social media. My point is, no matter how busy we are, proofreading an email before hitting the send button or a post for social media platforms, is a MUST. I never understood why my dad was so particular about this all the time. However, as time went on, I’m grateful that he did.

Okay, let me ask you a question: how do you feel when you read someone’s post or even any form of writing, in general, and its filled with many grammatical errors or typos? It’s kind of annoying right? Exactly. Thus, when reading a social media or work-related post, it is inappropriate to have some words misspelled or leave some sentences incomplete.

So here is a suggestion: you can get the Grammarly App to help check your spelling. Grammarly helps with correcting errors such as; misspelled words and plagiarism. However, I encourage you to just take a few minutes to read through what you want to post online. It helps convey the message easily to the reader. You can also ask someone to proofread your message prior to posting.

Thank you for reading. Please share, comment and/or leave me any suggestions you may have to improve my posts. Thanks! 🙂 #blogging
